Preventing e-mails and canceling the conference will improve the productivity of the company

I would like you to experience the following: When you are in a day’s work, take a 5 minute break and remove yourself from your computer or stop working. .

What would you do if you said you do not need to attend the meeting or reply to the e-mail during the day? The only thing you have to do is to be on hold.

This is exactly what we do in our business everyday and it is possible to increase an average of 204% per year throughout the year.

Below I will explain the four steps we have taken for this purpose.

1) Prohibit the use of your company’s e-mail.

First, choose one of the applications: Basecamp, Asana or Trello. Or, a new slack tool combined with Office 365 is very useful in this regard.

If you choose the one that suits you best, let anyone know that you can no longer use e-mail for internal company communications.

The unfortunate problem of e-mail is to destroy group interaction. When you send an email to a colleague, valuable content is encapsulated only between you and the camera.

On the other hand, using the project management platform like the one above, all the communication will remain open and even if a new member wants to join the project, you do not need to send hundreds of members back. Keep up-to-date e-mails up-to-date. He or she can simply take this information on its own and start work without disturbing others.

2) Exclude the meeting and continue.

As sooner or later we will spend valuable time on the company, so we eliminate, reduce and minimize the attendance of meetings (eg 15 or 30 minutes).

According to a survey by Steven Rogelberg, professor of psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, “37 billion dollars is lost annually at nonproductive meetings”

In order to achieve this goal, we encourage everyone to hold two annual general meetings. These retreats are used to set targets for the next 6 months. By mutual agreement, paths are defined and responsibility is assigned to each task.

If you do not need to attend a meeting, you can achieve maximum productivity. 4 o’clock in the morning, 1 hour lunch break, 4 hours afternoon work means a major change in productivity.

If you do not have a meeting (eg one-on-one conversation with your boss), you need to write it to the platform every time someone interacts with you. Project management, Ability to continue working with maximum concentration, asynchronously when best suits.

This means returning to the workplace to realize that you do not lose sight seeing that you must take care of this person and that you have lost the concentration you had before!

Professor Aydon P. Moran of the University of Dublin says: “If you can not solve such a distraction, please do not expect to concentrate.

3) Eliminate managers.

When you are not sending e-mails, why does the manager do not have any conference since all the information on the day-to-day progress of the company is on an online platform where all team members are freely accessible, so why the manager?

One thing to think about is that the best employee wants to increase, but the mistake is to think that the only way to become a boss is to become a boss.

It is not just a mistake, it can be your company’s worst enemy. The qualities necessary to lead people are not the same as those needed to achieve technical excellence (eg as a programmer, not a project manager).

The fact that you do not have to spend extra on your manager means that you are most competitive by investing that money to increase your salary, finding new talent and hiring employees.

Mark McCaffrey, Global Software Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) explains, as follows. “Competition between technical skills and experience is a world war of talent.

But who controls who is working when there is no boss? You do not have to worry. For example, as all of us are engineers, it is very clear and obvious if colleagues do not work or delay as necessary. At the end, we are all technically so we know well whether work is going well or not.

4) We will work for 4 weeks.

Finally, thanks to three adjustments (e-mail, conference, or administrator) we made earlier, we will go one step further after 2 years of work and only work 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday) I decided in particular.

There are hundreds of books devoted to balancing personal time and working time but thousands of work (family), only two days to complete leisure, reaching a good point It is almost impossible, etc) to work for 5 days.

The problem is that there are more and more work, but that does not mean that the solution must work further. Like software companies like us, it is quality, not quantity of important work. If you can not balance well in life (work + family + exercise + etc), you can not achieve quality.

According to President John Ashton of UK Public Health Department, this new method will help relieve stress.

Another factor you need to consider is the number of days the patient missed discharging on Friday at the clinic or home because a 4 day working week knows that they are not working It is to reduce it dramatically.

Finally, the best recommendation that an organization can do to make these four changes is to not try to implement them permanently at the same time.
